Unable to sync ipod to itunes library

I guess my topic says it all. FYI I've been using this ipod regularly for several years. I've synced it several times over it's lifetime but I haven't been successful after several recent attempts. When I use the procedure for syncing it seems to be working but the newest downloads fail to transfer to the ipod. Any ideas?

Hey need2sync,

Thanks for reaching out and posting in Apple Support Communities.

We'll be happy to help with your music and iPod nano, but we do need a little more details to know how to help.

If you are manually syncing the iPod nano, check the steps here: Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer - Apple Support

If your computer is not finding the iPod nano, check the info and troubleshooting here. While it no longer says iPod, it's still valid for older iPod models: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Also, be aware, that syncing may be disabled if you use Apple Music as mentioned in the first article: "If you use iCloud or other services like Apple Music to keep your content up-to-date across all of your devices, some syncing features through iTunes might be turned off."

If you still need help, let us know which generation iPod nano you have, what you are connecting to for syncing, and the software version.

Take care!
