Apple Calendar Change for the Worse

I can’t see the entire month of appointments at a glance anymore — just a dot to tell me that something is scheduled on that day. It’s really awful.

Is there a way to change it back…? If not, who makes a better calendar…?

Calendar option to show as free or busy This issue is all over Apple community since 2019 and we are now approaching 2025 with no concrete fix provided from the Apple techs working within the support community forum and no real fix as Apple shows this free\busy option in their support documentation for “how to….” There seems to be a complete disconnect and the responses to an individual reply “I understand you are having a problem” is not helping and seems unfair to box in the individual user into that place. No, if any member of the team looked, they would see this appears to be a systemic problem with Apple calendar. It’s also all over the net with people asking the same question in different forums. How can I get the show as busy or free option to appear in Calendar? Therefore I started this new thread to request a senior member of the Apple team to provide clear steps on how to have the busy or free option show in Calendar This is an essential tool it needs to be addressed for the community.

Calendar - show as busy/free option has disappeared I used to be able to mark entries into my calendar as busy or free. The default was busy, but there was a section called "Show as" and I could choose to mark an entry as "free" so that time would still look available to others (especially when using Calendly etc). This has disappeared. It has gone from all of my icloud calendars on my iphone and Mac. Having searched the community advice, there are very few solutions that I can find. One solution suggested adding in a new icloud calendar and seeing if the option is available in the new calendar. It is not. Both my iphone and Mac are runnning on the latest version of IOS. I'm really hoping someone has a solution to this as I can't find anything sensible in the help guides and it is starting to cause me a lot of issues. I'm not sure why it suddenly disappeared. Thanks

Calendar changes with 18.1.1 What happened? How do I get my calendar to list multiple days in a scroll? I'm NOT happy with this (supposed) update!! The monthly calendar on the top of the screen is worthless to be and taking up valuable space!

I was just late for an appointment because at a glance it looked like my appointment was at 10, but it was 9:25. Why!??? Now I’m waiting in a doctor’s office to be “fit” in!!

Yes. This is very frustrating which is why I stopped using this app. Get it together Apple!!!!!

Please give us back the old calendar. I’m an older person and finds this new calendar tedious to use. The old calendar allowed me to see all my schedules in one view.

It simply baffles me that I don’t have a choice of what calendar view I would like to use. Clearly they have both templates, why isn’t there a choice Apple?
