Do you have another keyboard that you can use, perhaps a wired USB keyboard?

Do you have many other devices connected to your Mac? Try disconnecting those and using the keyboard for a while without them. It's possible that some other device is creating interference with the keyboard.

There really should be no reason to change your password because your keyboard isn't working properly.

If you create another user account on your Mac does the keyboard work properly in that account?

Hate to ask the obvious, but I had the same problem a couple months after buying. Have you charged your wireless keyboard lately? Use the same chord you use to charge your IPhone, and plug it in on the back center of your wireless keyboard.

You probably should use a wired keyboard for troubleshooting... just plug it in.

It's a good idea to keep an inexpensive USB wired keyboard and mouse handy for times like this. Even an inexpensive Walmart pc keyboard would work in a pinch.

Hints for pc keyboard on Mac:

pc Alt key = Mac Option key

pc Windows/Control key = Mac Command key

If by chance these keys are 789uiojkl, check your accessibility settings to make sure Mouse Keys is turned OFF
