Wireless keyboard keys swapped (Z and Y)

To get y I have to press the z key

That because the input source isn’t set correctly. See Write in another language on Mac - Apple Support

1) Test a different keyboard with the iMac.

Most any after-market USB keyboard will work on a USB-C to USB-a adapter.


2) Connect that keyboard to another Mac.

One at a family members or friends house will do.

Take the keyboard to the local AASP or Apple Store for testing.
