Ted Lasso Season won't load.

I have watched Seasons 1 & 2 about 30 times, even this week. I can resume my Season 2 episodes but Season 3 won't work. I have been waiting for this for so long and the place where I get my Wifi during the work week closes in 40 minutes. I am so ****** at you Apple - you had to know this was going to be a popular one tonight! (And no my restrictions toggle is not on)

To prevent others from wasting ages on the phone: Go to Apple TV settings, scroll down to language, and even if it is already set on your language (mine is English) click it again and let it reset. Solved not only the problem accessing Ted Lasso’s Season 3, it also fixed the app’s appearance.

That is a strange thing to occur, especially since you have no issues resuming episodes from the first two seasons for the same show. Regarding any product feedback you'd like to provide to Apple for consideration, you can use this link to submit it: Product Feedback


Moving forward with troubleshooting, let's confirm more details to better understand what's happening, along with ruling out some other possible causes:


  1. What actually occurs when you try resuming an episode from the third season of that show? The more details you provide, the better we'll understand what's happening when you try.
  2. Was there a time when there were no issues resuming the episodes from that new season, and if yes, when did this start?
  3. Any other shows that this has occurred with, or is this the only affected show?
  4. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: How to turn off or restart your Apple TV
  5. If you have a compatible Apple TV model, the latest version is tvOS 16.3.3. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to Update your Apple TV.
  6. If you are using a different device (iPhone, iPad, MacBook, etc) to watch Apple TV, what device and OS are you using?

I found that I had to re-sync my Apple TV box via Bluetooth to my iphone 13. It was via my iPhone that I switched my subscription from Apple TV+ to Apple One. It might be part of the anti-password-sharing change that several streaming services are implementing. Once I re-synced whatever needed to be re-synced (not exactly sure what or they weren't automatically updated together as they're both connected to the same wifi and plugged into power daily) everything worked fine. Hope this helps.

I have the same issue. I have an old Apple TV unit which was working fine. We watched the first 2 1/2 seasons just fine. Now we find that Season 3 Episode 6 just will not play. I get the same error as others have reported. I have found that the episode WILL play normally on my iPhone XS but when I use Airplay to stream it to my TV I get the same old error. Seems the content just won’t play on the TV. I have an older Samsung TV (the curved one) and I can’t find an Apple TV app for it. I don’t know if the problem is the TV or the Apple TV. So we have over 180 people on this thread with similar issues and 18 people on another similar thread, but no response from Apple, whom I suspect just ignore the threads and let the community resolve their problems

We get a video unable to load error on our Roku when we try to watch ted lasso season 3 episode 2 in Apple TV app on Roku. Can watch other appletv programs. Got the same message initially when we watched episode 1, but I altered video settings on tv (as worked last year) and we were able to watch. But it won’t work on ep 2.

Apple has gone down hill in recent years.

Same issue with Ted Lasso as I had in March. Will not load Season 3 (In March would not load Season 2).

Had to completely cancel account and request a month's worth of subscription returned.

Open new account.

How f*cked is this! Yes, it's small in the scheme of life, but I'm paying for this and Apple Support is a) clueless on how to fix it, and b) doesn't know anything about refunds. I had to walk them through it.

I've owned iMacs since 1994, Macbook Pro's since 2007, and iPhones since 2008. I also have been an investor in Apple since 1993. WHAT THE **** HAPPENED TO THEIR STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE?????

I have Apple One and when I try to watch Season 3 it says that I can try Apple TV+ free for 7 days. Apple TV+ is included in my Apple One subscription. I watched all of Season 1 and 2 just this week with no issues. It did not automatically start season 3 episode 1 as it had for all previous episodes. I don't want to "start a free trial" and then get hit with the $8.99/month fee when I already pay for the subscription. It would be paying twice for the same thing. Whoever set up the Season 3 upload has messed it up.

Can you please help me. Season 3 Episode 6 of Ted Lasso will not play for me. I’ve just been watching Schmigadoon without issue. Other shows appear to play but Ted Lasso has ceased working and hasn’t been fixed by a software update or restart.


Can you please help me resolve this as Ted Lasso is my favourite show and it’s heartbreaking.

So, somebody at Apple might actually be watching this thread :). Thought I’d try it again today on my Apple TV, and it magically worked just like all other episodes before :)


Funny thing is that it cut out about 15 minutes in, so I was leery about posting this good news. But, turns out it was due to a larger problem - a power outage in my neighbourhood affecting 2,400 homes!
