Apple pay rejected refund

How long does it take for rejected payment from apple pay to be refunded & where does it go back in my wallet or back to my bank account?

How long does it take for an in-store refund to show in my Apple Pay? I purchased an item online using Apple Pay. I returned the item 3 days ago in-store and got a refund going back to my original form of payment (Apple Pay and then of course my actual credit card). However, the refund isn’t showing on neither Apple Pay nor my credit card! Has anyone else experienced something like this?
