eSIM for travel to USA

I travel to the USA quite frequently, and always buy a T-Mobile 30 day 5 GB SIM to sit alongside my regular UK eSIM.

I've just discovered (!) that iPhones can have 8 or more eSIMS, so that seems the way to go - they are also way cheaper than physical SIMs.

But - they mostly seem to be data only, no voice.

So, can anybody advise on using prepaid 30 day eSIMs in the USA, especially when voice is needed?

Thanks.

eSIMs are now ubiquitous for MNOs in the U.S. If a plan exists, it exists on eSIM.

The in-store literature for all three MNOs clearly cites the differentiation between 5G, 4G, and 3G and shows that “5G” AND “5Gn” is available on all three MNO’s prepaid plans; although the capabilities of your actual device to utilize these services is unknown.

That said, we all acknowledge and understand that this is all based solely on “Marketing” materials - materials produced for the general population and NOT for engineers - and that the only REAL test is to procure a plan place a device ON the network.

So believe what you want.

If more info is desired, suggest you hire your own conus-based research assistant - equipped with a device identical to yours - provisioned with a “testing” budget.
