How do I get my apple music if I haven't used the original id in several years and don't remember sign in or password...

I cannot retrieve my apple id and password from many years ago to access my music.

Forgotten password/different Apple ID I have inaccessible .m4p iTunes music purchased using an old Apple ID, the password to which I have forgotten. To further complicate things, the ID is an email address that is no longer working, so attempts to change the password (which involve getting an email sent to that address) don't work. I do have iTunes Matching, but have been unsuccessful in trying to add the protected songs to my current library. Appreciate any suggestions as to how I can regain access to the music.

How do I regain access to old music files on iTunes when password is lost? Double clicking on iTunes music downloaded prior to 2008, I receive the following message: "This computer is not authorized to play...." My understanding is that you must use the Apple ID and password used when the file was purchased, but later purchases play, even though I have changed the password many times since 2008.
