As of 3/9/23 I can no longer search for the exact location of an AirTag on the Find My app. Anyone else having this problem?

Assuming that the Airtag is indeed nearby, given the tag’s age; it might simply be time for a battery replacement.

Batteries with the coating will NOT work in AirTags.

WiFi is irrelevant to AirTags

They only communicate via bluetooth, UWB, or NFC.

Another thought … Airtags sometimes have trouble w/ iOS updates … of which there HAVE been recently.

Try these in order:

Power-off and restart your phone.

… If nothing improves …

Sign “out” and then back “in” to your AppleID.

Can you possibly clarify what you mean?
