numbers app crashing

Does Numbers crash if you create a new document?

Does Numbers crash if you open other spreadsheets?

If it works with other documents, then you may have a damaged file.

Try copying the file and opening the copy. (Select it in the Finder and press ⌘D or select File > Duplicate.)

If Numbers crashes with all documents, then rename it (Numbers) to something else like NumbersOld, re-download it from the App Store and try the new copy.

What version of Numbers are you using with what version of macOS?

Have you rebooted the Mac and then pressed and held the shift key when launching Numbers. This prevents it from loading its last saved execution state, and make break the crashing cycle.

The Numbers app has been crashing on my mac book air for >8 months now. I have made numerous calls, and the last update I have from around six weeks back is that the issue is happening with a handful of mac book air users across the globe, apple is aware of this, and the engineers are looking into it. Is there an update on resolution of this issue?
