Font Library or Font Collection?

I'm trying to understand the practical difference between using Font Libraries or Font Collections

in Font Book app. (the latest version in Ventura).

The only difference I found is the ability to drag and drop new fonts directly into

Font Libraries, whereas Font Collections I have to manually add them from the library (unless they are Smart Collections obvs). I'm sure I'm missing other differences.

Please advise, with any use case examples of one V the other?

it doesn't seem to suggest why you might use Libraries over Collections, or vice versa

It does say "Collections you create are shown in the Fonts window, available when you work in some apps, such as TextEdit. Font libraries you create aren’t shown in the Fonts window."

For my own work, Smart Collections make the difference in terms of what I use, no need for Libraries.
