Recently when trying to reply to a whatsapp message via carplay it tells me "oops something went wrong".
I can read messages, and send new messages but can't reply.
IOS is up to date, Whatsapp is up to date and I even unpaired and re-paired my phone but still nothing.
Any ideas? is this a Whatsapp issue or Siri issue?

After multiple attempts at contacting WhatsApp support and getting generic replies, I FINALLY got a real response and it fixed the issue. You need to update to WhatsApp vs 2.24.8.78. That seems to fix the issue. Everything was working again for me today.
WhatsApp closed my ticket with a generic unrelated response, so not hopeful.

Weird, I’ve got version 23.5.78 and cannot upgrade to 23.8.78.
Appstore says I’m fully up to date.
maybe it takes a while before it’s available in all countries?
Apparently not in Europe. I do have the latest iOs. But whatsapp seems to be up to date. I can only ‘open’ whatsapp and not ‘update’ it.
I just hope it will be available in Europe soon

I’ve contacted WhatsApp support. And it’s useless. They said the problem is beyond their scope and closed the support ticket, after saying delete, reinstall. Make sure up to date.
Guess we just have to put up with it until Meta fix the issue.
Ditto, I just got a new car and thought it must be that, gave sales guy a hard time over it so he’s going back to their tech people. Better give him a call first thing and apologise.
On a slightly different note I also noticed that if I say send message and then name a group ie Family (seven contacts) it says can’t do that. Thought it might e linked.
nb I have found a work around and say Family group, sometimes it woks.
Same with me and its very annoying.
