Time-lapse videos not copied to my iPhone

For the past several months, I've been getting the following message when I sync from Mac Photos to my iPhone 12 Pro:

“7A80F940-4C82-4C0B-BB1E-DA81E38A9D52.mov” was not copied to the iPhone “xxxx's iPhone 12 Pro” because it cannot be played on this iPhone.

Some videos were not copied to the iPhone “xxxx's iPhone 12 Pro” because they cannot be played on this iPhone.

I receive the message 4 times for 4 different videos. All the names are in Hex with a .mov extension. I finally determined that they are time lapse videos taken with the same iPhone I'm trying to sync to. In Mac Photos, three have a more innocuous name, like IMG_5059.MOV, and I cannot locate the 4th. All 4 files play in QuickTime and the three I can find in Photos also play properly there. I just can't sync them to my iPhone.

I'm running MacOS BIG Sur, 11.7.4, fully up to date otherwise, and iOS 16.3.1, although it's happened for several iPhone updates.

Fixes?

"Silent movies (even a timelapse from from the same iPad etc) without audio failed to sync to iOS devices from Photos library (Mac mini 2018, Big Sur 11.6.1, iPad Pro MLQ62KN/A 9,7", iOS 15.1).

That sync error with silent movies is now fixed at least in macOS 12.3.1 and iOS 15.4.1."
