problem report for mail

Keep gettin a message saying problem report for mail. says I can can report and then it closes again and same thing comes up. been doing it for 2 days.

Trying deleting these preference files. There is no need to worry about data loss, they are just index files that can get corrupted and will be rebuilt.

  1. Quit Mail
  2. From the Finder choose Go > Go to Folder...
  3. Enter  ~/Library/Mail/
  4. Open the highest number "V" folder. Mine was V10
  5. Open MailData
  6. Delete all files that start with "Envelope Index" or "ExternalUpdates.storedata". There should be about 6 of them.
  7. Re-open mail
  8. Your emails will be re-indexed
