It seems my Series 1 Watch ignores "Hey siri text (the, or) my wife"

I have factory reset my phone and watch. Phonetic names are and were already set prior to reconfiguration with the reset. Apple watch when clicking "reset sync data" on watch app on ios iPhone has no effect. The button literally does nothing. No program is executed when I tap that option. After several resets I am still left with this logical error when asking my watch to text "the wife" or any of these phonetic terms. The only one which works is "the wifey" which is pretty slang and sub-optimal, and some may say "derogatory". I prefer to call my wife "the wife" or "my wife". Not, "the wifey" or "wifey" which is very derogatory. Who has a solution to this issue? I doubt any apple affiliates will say anything less than "upgrade". So sad. Can anyone offer a solution to this specific use case? I have already erased all data and reset both devices.

YES. I HAVE ALREADY Reset and synced

Facotry reset both the iPhone and apple watch.

Resynced cloud data

Resynced Calendar and contacts

Reset Sync and Data

Factory reset and reinstalled or resynced
