Camera sensor issue

My Iphone 13 pro camera is showing pink line while taking photos. I visited authorised Apple service centre saudi arabia . They have come to a conclusion that my camera lens has been damaged due to laser contact and is not covered under warranty and have asked me to get it replaced by paying a cost . My phone camera has never come in contact with laser and is under warranty. Why is apple giving one year warranty if they cannot give service within the warranty period? Please help
