If you want to download your purchased and previously downloaded apps again on your Home Screen, you can download them from the App Store. Find the App Store icon, long press on it, select Purchased in the "pop-up" menu. You will now be taken to a list of all the apps you have previously downloaded, tap on the "cloud with down arrow" on the side to download your apps again.

If you can't find some apps on your home screen, maybe you can find them in the App Library.

On your home screen, swipe as far left as you can until you find App Library. Find the apps and drag it back to your Home Screen. You can also search for apps in Sportlight. When the icon appears, just like in the App Library, you can hold and drag it back to your Home Screen.

If the app is not in the App Library, you can download it again in the App Store.
