Get iTunes for Ventura to access my movies

I recently upgraded/installed Ventura to my MAC mini 2018, 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 using Mojave. I am no longer able to access, open and view the movies library I have on an external drive. How do I access that library?

Launch the Apple TV application with the Option key held down and choose that library. If it's a collection of loose files or the first method doesn't work, create a new library on it and import the movies to it.

I'm sorry but I am not able to follow you. I did as you suggested but no library showed up. Then I created a new folder inside the Library but obviously nothing is there. Then I went to Finder and manually moved all the movies, probably more than a thousand. When I opened Apple TV none of the titles are listed anywhere. Sorry I'm a little slow in understanding

As I recall there used to be a menu in iTunes that said "Add to Library" but I could not find one in this new version
