My voice recorder disappeared with a update I can’t get it back on. I hate dictation. Yes dictation works,, voice memos work.. it’s not the same has a voice recorder. When I go to what apps take voice recorders.. message is not there. I’ll just say this..$1200. Every update a major issue where something important I use does not work. This sucks my opinion

To make sure we're on the same page, are you referring to the microphone that typically would be to the bottom right of apps like the Messages app?
If so, confirm the relevant app has access to the microphone under Settings > Privacy > Microphone. It should be toggled on if access is enabled.
Bear in mind some apps such as Messages automatically have microphone access and won't need to be toggled on.
