How do I turn on my MacBook Pro without automatically erasing the hard drive?

I set a MacPro computer to delete after I thought it was stolen… it has now shown up. Is there a way I can undo the delete because I can’t find that option in my iCloud settings. Erase was perhaps a better term. Now I have found my computer how do I turn it on without it automatically erasing the hard drive?
