AirPods Pro not saying verified

I bought supposedly AirPod Pro 2 from an online store best buy goods.com but so for $129. I was suspicious when the case was not MagSafe chargeable and no speaker on bottom or lanyard clip. When l paired it to my iPhone it said it couldn’t Verify as authentic but still worked on Bluetooth. I did find the model number and they are AirPod Pro uand not Pro 2, I emailed the company and told them I needed to return these for the Pro 2. I was told the best they could do was give me a $40 refund because the return shipping was prohibitive cause they came from China. After I confirmed l had the AirPod Pro I took it although it was ok false advertising. Even though they are AirPod Pro and not Pro 2 I can’t get any coverage or free Apple Music for 6 months. Is this because I didn’t buy them directly from Apple?

ls there a way to confirm they are Apple besides the serial number? The box is correct cause I have another pair of AirPods that I ordered directly from Apple’s website.

Also l can’t find any where to live feedback l would like to make people aware of these guys.

Hello Crashduringlaunch,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. If you're getting prompted that your AirPods can't be verified, this resource that you viewed prior to posting explains more in-depth what you can do: If you get a 'Cannot Verify AirPods' alert - Apple Support

You can choose to not connect your unverified AirPods, or to connect them in Bluetooth settings. If you connect your unverified AirPods, they may not behave as expected.
For more information, contact the place of purchase.

It sounds like you've already contacted the seller of these AirPods. The only way to verify if your AirPods are authentic is by using the serial number and checking them at the link below:

Find the serial number of your AirPods

Check Device Coverage
