Songs Stuck "Waiting"-Why?

Why are half my songs stuck in "waiting" to download into my PC running Windows 10?

Hey!!

I've had this issue too. It's generally easy to fix.

(Please note- the screenshots I'm including are from my MacBook Pro. The UI is generally the same. I own a Windows 10 Desktop.)

Press CTRL+, (comma) to open up the settings menu. The first option is "Sync iCloud Library". Turn it off, click OK, then open the settings again, turn it back on, and click OK. This should refresh your Library and clear any errors it had.

Next, I would open up the settings menu, go to the "Downloads" tab, turn off "Automatic Downloads" and click OK. Then go to the Songs tab, select one song, and click CTRL+A to select all. Right click, click Remove Download. This will clear all downloaded music from your hard drive. Then open up the settings and re enable automatic downloads. If it doesn't start downloading automatically, select all the songs and click Download.

As a last resort - Delete iTunes from Control Panel and reinstall it.

Best of luck!!

Hi,

The tracks “waiting” means that the music has not yet been matched or uploaded yet. Where are the original tracks located? Greyed tracks would indicate that the tracks are either not where music expects them to be or they are no longer on your computer. If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library – Apple Support (UK)
