Audio wont play through Studio Display

I have my MacBook Pro as the brain for my studio display. I have my studio display set for audio but the sound still comes out of my closed MacBook Pro! What am I doing wrong?!? I have restarted my studio display.

Output tab? I would be surprised if it isn’t Studio,but verify please.

Tried restarting the Mac? If yes, I’d schedule Apple in-store repair. Good luck!
