Can't stop sharing with HomeKit but don't even use the app or have anything set up in home app. It also turns access to the home app on to be accessed while phone is locked

Hey there and welcome to Apple Support Communities MamaBear1983,

We can certainly understand your concern and can help provide some insight.

We recommend checking out these steps for more information on sharing with HomeKit and see if that matches up with your procedure.

" Stop sharing your home with someone

  1. Open the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Tap or click the More button , then select Home Settings. If you have multiple homes, choose a home, then select Home Settings.
  3. Under People, tap or click the user that you want to remove from your home.
  4. Tap or click Remove Person.

If you remove someone from the Home app, they might still be able to control any accessories if they had permissions to do so in a separate app for that accessory. To remove those permissions, use the accessory's app, check its manual, or contact the manufacturer. "

These steps will help ensure your device is working with ease and can fix common issues like the ones you’re experiencing.

Kindest regards!
