"confirm with assistive touch" apple wallet payment in apple watch stopped working.

"Confirm with AssistiveTouch" on apple watch(A2477) wallet, card payment,software version 9.4(20T5249a) stopped working. It has not worked in the last week or two. I have tried to fix it by resetting the watch to factory settings and setting up the AssistiveTouch feature again. That did not fix it.

I had it set up so that I could activate the assistive touch with a double pinch, open the wallet with a double pinch and then "confirm with ActiveTouch" the use of the default card. resulting in the words "hold near reader" which I would do to initiate the transaction.
