Apple Watch OS 10 Wallet Loyalty Card and Payments

Since the Watch OS 10 update (including the 10.0.1 update), I have an issue. If I use the double tap to activate the Wallet function, I can select and use my loyalty card on the Apple watch, but once done, I cannot access the payment function on the watch - the watch screen just goes blank. I can revert to the home screen, but double tapping once again will only bring up a blank screen. Is it me doing something wrong, or is there a bug which hasn't been ironed out as yet?

Update - by trial and error, I've found that how WatchOS wants this to happen has changed in WatchOS 10. After using the Loyalty card QR code on the watch, either tap x (top left corner) or swipe so that the complete wallet content shows again, scroll or swipe to the desired payment card, and then you are able to use the payment method. I just have to unlearn how it worked previously and hope the new muscle memory kicks in quickly :)
