My phone's model no starts with f is it brand new

Hey i just bout new iphone 12 pro from a guy he told me it is brand new but the model no starts with f and i was assure it's brand new cus he activated it infront of me i am in suspicion is it value for money or not please help me cuz he charged me equivalent to new phone
