2023 Rav 4 Carplay Navigation issue

So I bought a new vehicle 2023 Rav 4 and it has the new 10” infotainment which now supports wireless carplay and wireless AA.

The issue I have been facing is GPS location is way off from actual. Its impossible to drive. I have attached the url of the video I have uploaded to Youtube.

I went to dealership and it was temporarily fixed by calibrating gps position in vehicle navigation (toyota navigation). This also calibrated position for carplay, as gps used ultimately is of the car for carplay as well.

yet, its not the permanent fix. Nav in carplay still looses its calibrated position and throws me off.

I need help. I want to know if this is Apple’s issue or not

Also, what can be a recommended permanent fix?

I tried different iphones on different ios versions but same thing. However, AA wired and wireless both works fine on my vehicle its just carplay (wired and wireless) having this inaccuracy.

since AA and in car nav works good my dealer is suspecting it to be a bug from Apple’s end

please help.

Hi swaril,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you are experiencing some issues with CarPlay, and we're happy to help. We recommend working through the steps below to help resolve CarPlay issues:

1. Check your connection to your CarPlay stereo:
* If you have a wired connection, try connecting again with a different USB cable to a different USB port if you have one.
* If you have a wireless connection, make sure that Bluetooth is turned on on your iPhone under Settings > Bluetooth. Then go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and make sure that Wi-Fi is also turned on. Tap the CarPlay network, and check that Auto-Join is turned on.
4. If CarPlay doesn't activate automatically, look for the CarPlay logo on your car's display and select it.
5. Restart your iPhone and your car.
6. Make sure that Siri is on.
7. If your iPhone isn't detected by CarPlay, make sure that CarPlay isn't restricted. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If Content & Privacy Restrictions is on, tap Allowed Apps, and make sure that CarPlay is enabled.
8. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, tap your car, then tap Forget This Car. Then set up CarPlay again.
9. Make sure that your CarPlay stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer. Check your car's manual for more information.
