cannot send message using the server yahoo - sbcglobal email

My aunt's Mail App on her MacBook Air suddenly sends this message without prompt. We have deleted and re-added her email account to the Mail App but it didn't fix it. The current workaround is to access her email through a browser but looking for a fix. We've also checked the server to be "smtp.mail.att.net" -- but it still didn't fix it. Thank you!

Hey Ferrona Lie,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We see that the email domain is "@sbcglobal.net". Make sure the the outbound port has the correct information. The outbound port is provided in the link from AT&T which handles "sbcglobal.net": POP3 and IMAP Email Settings - AT&T.

Here's a link that provides steps on setting up your email account in the Mac Mail app: Set Up or Update AT&T Email - Apple Mail (OS X).

We suggest deleting the email account, and then follow the steps in the link to ensure all information information is correct.

Hope this helps. Take care.
