mac restore from icloud backup

My daughter's M1 MacBook Air was reset to factory at the apple store after a spill left it inoperable. Her folders are all backed up in iCloud. I have searched but can't find any method to restore a MAC from iCloud, only from Time Machine, or iPhones from iCloud.

I'm afraid to make a misstep and accidentally wipe out the files - can someone direct me to the correct page for the step-by-step instructions?

Restoring a Mac form iCloud:

iCloud does not back up everything. Only certain filetypes. So, enable these items in iCloud settings on a different device associated to the same account, and you may find them there. Learn More here: What does iCloud Back Up? - Apple Support
