I've followed the instructions and shutdown my imac completely, including turning the power off at the wall. I'm all updated. No green light next to the camera and screen is showing as black. It's not working across multiple applications. Any suggestions?

Startup in Safe Mode and test the Camera using Photo Booth.

Then do a normal restart and re-test the Camera.
If that doesn't help, schedule a service appointment at you local Apple Store or AASP.
