The remote does not turn on my TCL TV

I bought a new TV and everything seems to work fine like with my previous TV but for one exception. My Apple TV remote refuses to turn on my TCL TV 55C731. It does turn the TV off but not on. All other devices as well as the Apple TV seem to work fine via CEC except turning on the TV.

CEC functionality is dependent on the TV, each manufacturer has their own implementation. Check your TVs firmware to see if its up to date, refer to the manual and contact TCL if necessary.
