Hello raidl,

Turn on the Sleep Focus when you nap. This will record your sleep any time it's enabled.

To enable this, follow the steps blow:

Resource: Set up a schedule for a Sleep Focus in Health on iPhone - Apple Support

It wouldn't work to change your schedule for a nap throughout the day, so enabling the Sleep Focus would be the way to go.

If you have feedback about how the Focus or Sleep Schedule works, you're welcome to provide Apple with feedback here: Product Feedback

Keep in mind, Apple reviews all feedback, but you may not hear back on any given. Apple does not request unsolicited ideas.

Take care.

There is another problem with "Sleep". It is NOT useful, precisely when needed most.

The program assumes someone sleeps like a robot on a regular schedule.

One of the biggest needs is for individuals who have PROBLEMS with sleep. This includes circadian rhythm problems, especially delayed sleep phase syndrome, advanced sleep phase syndrome, free-running sleep phase cycle, shift work disorder. There are people with narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia who cannot maintain regular sleep, cannot sustain sleep but also cannot maintain wakefulness during the day.

It is in precisely those cases where we need an "actigraphy" recording showing the sleep and wake on a diurnal basis, including UNPLANNED or irregular sleep.

HOW CAN THIS BE ACHIEVED WITH THE APPLE WATCH?

I had read that article. I tried again. It does not work. Every time I try to put in a temporary schedule, it insists on modifying the existing schedule for that day. There does not seem to be a way to put in multiple schedules on a single day. There does not seem to be a way to add a temporary, one time schedule. If I try to put in a schedule to start in the next 15 minutes, it schedules it for the next day. Please advise on this. It is not addressed in the article. I have tried on the watch, and the iPhone.
