App compatibility

theres a shopping app on app store that says iOS required is ios 9

so will an iphone 4s work cos its on ios 10

but the app say’s minimum device is iphone 5s why is there no 4s?

Older IPads that Can’t Be Supported I knew the day would come when my older iPads wouldn’t be supported by Apple, but didn’t expect it to be this soon when my the tablets aren’t even five years old! Articles online say iPads 6th and 7th generation won’t be supported once IOS 18 arrives in September. How dangerous is it to use an unsupported iPad? I understand some apps may eventually not work, but that’s okay because I also have an iPad 8 and 10. But is it very susceptible to hacking?

The people most likely to know the answer are the developers of the app. This assumes they are still in existence.

Maybe it requires a particular hardware feature
