what is message viewer in mail?

I click on message viewer and nothing happens. Can someone share what is supposed to happen when message viewer is selected in mail

Aplle Mail 9.3 > messageviewer window suddenly gone In Mail 9.3 you have a large windowbox where all received messages are in. When you click on one message it opens automatically in another window beneath it. But this window, where you can read one message only, is gone. Which is very annoying of course. Now I can only double-click on a message > then a new window opens. And so on... I have to open a new window for every message. And close them again by hand. Very timeconsuming. When the automatic messageviewer was working, this was not necessary. You just clicked one message and you immediatly see it. Clicking on another message, and you see that message. Without the need to click the former message away. Who knows the cause of this problem AND hopefully a solution? Untill now I tried all possible menu's and preferences in Mail, but found nothing. I don't even know if this (now magic) 'messagewindow' has a special name.

Duplicate panel on right side of mail I now have a duplicate panel on the right of my screen in mail. It contains exactly the same data as the mail message I am reading. I cannot find a way to get back to the single panel but there must be a simple solution! Any help appreciated.

Mail: Where is the unmark as junk function/button? Title says it all, how do you unmark a message as junk? There's no button under 'Customise Toolbar' and no function in the menus that I can see. The only way I've found is to click the junk button then immediately hit undo to bring the message back, then it's not marked as junk. But there must be a better way - right?

You can have several windows open by double clicking an individual email or creating new mail drafts. By clicking this Message Viewer, it will bring your main Mail window back to the top. If you main Mail Window is already on top, then nothing happens.
