Here's what to do if iCloud drive shared Folder's not showing up in Finder on Mac

Me and my partner have shared a folder on my iCloud drive. The shared folder shows up on iPhone Files app and iCloud.com but does not show up in Finder on my Mac.

I tried to:

  1. Restart the Mac.
  2. Checked if I'm logged in with a different accounts in my various devices.
  3. Check for date and time discrepancies (because of recent travelling)
  4. I checked the storage space on iCloud and found no lack of storage space.
  5. My hard drive space is also in abundance.
  6. MacOS is updated to the latest.

None of the above numbered solutions resolved my issue but this one:

I signed out of Apple ID (within the System Settings) and signed back in immediately and somehow iCloud drive was forced to reSync and I can now see all shared files with partner in Finder on my Mac.

I hope this will help somebody facing the same issue.

The go to for to jump starting sync issues has always been— sign out of AppleID /iCloud and sign back in again:
