Auto correct in Mail

On my 2019 Mac, while I am typing in Mail, all the "i" get to be corrected to I, and same for other easy to spot typos... but I could not do the same on the new Mac with the M2 chip. Could anyone help?

Hello nan xiang,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities!

Based on what you're describing, it sounds like autocorrection may not be enabled on your new Mac.

You can find how to enable that using the steps in here: Check spelling and grammar on Mac - Apple Support

Additionally, there is a setting in the Mail app specifically for this as well. You can find that in Mail > Settings > Composing > Check Spelling.

Setting that to "As I Type" should ensure that it behaves as you described wanting it to.

Hope this helps!
