Macbook Pro 14inch 2021, M1 display problem

Hi all,

Got a new macbook pro only a couple of months ago, noticed today the screen is not working properly. There is a massive grey flickering stripe in the middle now.

Anyone knows if this can be fixed or I should go straight to Apple / guys I purchased this product from?

Thanks

Return This:

You've been sold a device that is defective. You should return it. All another reason to purchase one anew, directly from Apple. Seems you've been scammed, though a full-assumption on my part.

Just Return it and Go to Apple:

Putting the scam thought aside, just return it, and get one from Apple.

@TheLittkes- “Great way to handle a problem, go swap for a new one.“ All Apple Devices Come With 1 Year Warranty, regardless of Vendor! Who may even offer added extension of warranty through AppleCare+. How did you even reach level 5 wack advice “Return for Swap?“ Swap of same model, same problem later down road?

@LandOfBirds: “MacBooks In General Lately“ have had more issues with Display Malfunction than any other issue. At least you get something displayed instead of Total BlackOut Display and Status Bar, preventing Bootup or Recovery Disk Reset when display isn’t displaying!“ Apple does have Recall Programs in action on many hardware or mechanical defects. Just enter apple.com/support select device, enter serial #, hopefully you registerd for waranty

swrvices. They will instruct you to take to local authorized Repair or Vendor or mail in device. Tech will help you seamlessly transfer contents and data from device, back up everything to your iCloud storage, then when device replaced, will download and test with you present or will validate with “Apple Authorized Service Inspection Passed- Date, Time, Authorized Service repair tech ID#.

Hope this helps. Also look very close at manual on “Alternate Displays, Hot Spot Assignment (What corner of screen does mouse over change Screen being used) There are 2 display types you can use when setting up Macbook Prefernces. This function was root cause of my display issue, but I linked to external Monitor only. Used Macbook13 Pro M1 twice upin purchase: Didnt ooen macbook for a year. POWER Outage In Snowmageddon (Or) Went to reboot and had power, ZERO display. Apple should not install Auto-Wake for Macbooks in Top Display Cover Hinges! Too delicte with amount of normal usage.

TO Clarify:

You sure seem reluctant to get this fixed DKW?!

You never spoke of the seller. If not purchased secondhand (at a yard sale or off Craigslist), then vendors would apply here.
