My Magic Mouse 2 start to "peel" in the sides, loosing it's metallic gray paint.
Is it normal for this to happen? It is less than 6 months I started using it.

You should visit an Authorized Apple Service Provider next to your place or contact the official Apple Support about that.

They have to find out, if "... failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship"...
as stated in the Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty of your Apple product.

If the official Apple Support classifies this s a "cosmetic" issue, they will not service or replace your mouse.
There has been no noticeable defect in performance apart from the physical wearing off of the mouse from the side. it's been less than 6 months since purchase of the product.
