Apple Music is very glitchy
Hi Guys,
I'm having a few random bugs and random issues with my Apple Music. There are two overarching issues:
- My computer is glitching so that if I put a playlist on loop, if I make some adjustments to my Apple Music Library or even just leave my Mac alone for a short period of time, it stops looping. I'm also having an almost daily issues where playback either mutes or doesn't play after a number of songs and I have to restart the app for it to work again.
- The lossless logo seems to have a mind of its own, and it chooses when it wants to appear in the top right corner of the player and when it doesn't. I also sometimes have an issue where the lossless logo gets cropped on the miniplayer or fullscreen player. I don't have issues with the Dolby Atmos logo in regular view, but on the mini or fullscreen player it is sometimes really obviously not centered...by a substantial amount!
- Occasionally my laptop decides to play lossless files in AAC but I haven't had that issue for a while now since I updated to Monterey.
Notes:
I have not recently cleared out any cache without restarting my Mac that would affect Apple Music, and I have checked and my songs are still playing in lossless.
My mac is running MacOS Monterey 12.5.1 and it's managed by my school so I can't update to Ventura as it is "not ready for school use and been sufficiently tested".
I am able to add security updates
* (but I'm really willing to do this until after my assessments are over and when holidays start...which are different from America in case you were wondering...)
Also, as a side thing, has anyone found a workaround to install the latest version of Apple Music (the one available on Ventura) onto MacOS Monterey?
I might end up regurgitating some other information in the comments below if I remember, but those are the main things. Your help is greatly appreciated :)
Thanks in advance,
Christian
