Freeform take photo, add sketch, and add document not working on my Macbook air

Freeform take photo, add sketch, and add document not working on my Macbook air. Does anyone here experienced this? When I first tried using freeform these options were working but now they don't work anymore unless I use freeform from my iphone. I don't want to open freeform app from my iphone before I can take photo or scan document.
