Photo saved from Messages will not allow caption or keywords?

A photo saved to MacOS Photos from Messages will not allow a caption or keywords to be added. In the Info window, instead of the usual "Add a Caption," or "Add a Keyword," there is instead an italicized "No Caption," and "No Keywords," which cannot be clicked on. At the bottom of the Info window is a "Shared with you by (friend's name) in Messages."

This is the only photo in the Photos app displaying this behavior.

How can I add a caption or a keyword to this photo?

The Shared photo is just shown in Photos, but has not yet been saved to Photos.

Try to duplicate the shared photo with ⌘D to create a copy, that has been saved to Photos. Can you add tielesand captions to the copy?
