MacBookPro Access-Screen/Status Bar Dark!

How can we even access data from iCloud for main device used to set up Apple ID, when 2factor Authenticate requires responding to one device or other, but MacBook13 Pro 2020 M1 Display and Status Bar totally dark?

Unable to log into Apple ID on Mac with fully updated software I recently changed the email address associated with my Apple ID. I'm now trying to log into my Apple ID on my Mac. Each time I enter my (correct) Apple ID and password in the "Sign In" portion of Device Settings, it just asks again for the login credentials without appearing to have done anything. If I log into my Apple ID on my phone and/or a web browser it shows my Mac as one of my "devices" but it is, in fact, not a device as I've been unable to actually log into my Apple ID. If I "forget" my Mac as a device and then attempt to log in to my Apple ID, I'm presented with two-factor authentication but after typing in the (correct) verification code, it's as if nothing happened and I'm right back to square one. My iphone works just fine with my apple ID.

Cannot Sign in with Apple ID on MacBook (Yosemite) I’m not able to authenticate with Apple ID on MacBook Air (2014). It’s my wife’s device, I have noticed it runs on old system (Yosemite) and not getting updates. It’s not possible to sign in with Apple ID even when I’m resetting the password (it works fine on iPhone). I’m connected to Internet. Due to that I’m not able to sign out from iDrive. Anyone had such a problem? Is it possible to reinstall the system without signing out from iDrive?

Using Physical Security Keys I recently set up two physical security keys on my Apple Id account for 2FA purposes. I did this using my iPhone running iOS 16.3, the minimum iOS version necessary to set up hardware security keys. I also have a MacBook Pro which is quite old and thus cannot be updated beyond macOS Big Sur. This OS version does not allow for adding hardware keys to the Apple Id account, which is why I used the iPhone to perform that operation. Associating the hardware keys to my Apple Id is great for security since the hardware keys are now required to log in from any device other than my iPhone or MacBook. Having set up the hardware keys, it suddenly occurred to me that I may have created a trap. What happens if the MacBook gets logged out of the Apple Id account or becomes disassociated with that account in some other way? Will I need the hardware security keys on the MacBook to log it back into Apple Id? If so, I have made a problem for myself since my MacBook OS version does not allow using security keys with Apple Id -- at least that is my understanding. A clarification from someone who really knows this stuff would be greatly appreciated!
