Veterans Affairs BTSSS

I cannot access the VA's medical travel reimbursement site (BTSSS). I called the VA webmaster hotline and was told this issue is only happening with Apple IOS, regardless if you use Safari, Chrome or Firefox. The VA webmaster said it is nothing the VA is responsible for; Apple has to fix it's IOS to work with the VA two factor authentication. I do not have this issue with any other VA website; just the BTSSS website. VA webmaster said this is becuase BTSSS is linked to my financial institution and Big Sur does not work with the VA BTSSS two factor authentication. Can Apple please fix this so Veterans can get reimbursed for medical travel?

Apple is not here in this user supported community and no one here can fix your 2FA issues with the BTSSS site. Unless you are using an old iPhone with equally older versions of Safari, Chrome, or Firefox, they should have the most recent security protocols allowing navigation of the BTSSS site and that should not be an iOS alone issue. Everything within the VA is run on Windows computers and the BTSSS may not be telling you the whole story.

Sign into your normal VA MyHealtheVet account. Click on Personal Information and choose the link to VA Medical Travel Pay. That will pop a new page for VA Travel Claim Entry. I see five choices there. Among them Sign-in with MyHealtheVet and proceed from there. You may need to do this from a recent Mac, or Windows 10 or later PC.

In the future, it might be more effective to resolve your approved travel reimbursement while at the VA Hospital.

Not helpful at all considering I’ve already done everything you’ve recommended. I agree with two things you said—the BTSS should interface seamlessly with MacBook IOS, regardless if I’m using Safari, Chrome or Firefox (which I tried all) and the VA’s webmaster is probably overworked and doesn’t really know what’s going on and is just trying to get me off the phone to take the next 20-minute backlogged call. Apple does monitor this forum, buy I will take your advice and contact Apple Support .
