Home button doesn’t work, touch ID does. [SE 2020]

My home button was working fine until it suddenly became less “clicky” for like 10 seconds and it shut down. Immediately assistive touch appeared on the screen and worked like the home button. It hasn’t sustained water damage too.

I tried hard resetting, turning off in settings, (even though the LCI isn’t tripped) drying it. Nothing worked.

Help?

Salutations Golfistayt,

The following article has steps to take if a button or switch isn't working on your iPhone. If a button or switch isn't working on your iPhone or iPad If you get through the three steps and find that a repair is needed, there is a link in the article to get you started on that.

1. Remove any protective films or cases that might block the button or switch.
2. Check for debris or dirt around the button or switch and clean with a soft cloth.
3. If the button or switch still isn't working, is damaged, or works intermittently, you can set up a repair:

Thanks.
