Ipad logitech keyboard

Help please. Ipad 8 gen connecting a logitech combo touch keyboard. When the keyboard is attached it is meant to switch off the on screen popup keyboard but it doesn’t always

If I power cycle okay for a bit then keyboard starts popping up again. Can’t find any options to stop this. Any suggestions appreciated
