Battery drain

Recently bought an iPhone SE 3 that I had to return 5days later because the battery was zooming down exactly as with my old iPhone. Got a replacement and if this one is a bit better, it’s still going down fairly fast, also at night loses abt 3 or 4% on airplane mode. Done all tricks to spare battery, everything off: Siri, location, motion, notifications you name it. Don’t watch videos, tv, music either just routine use like mails, internet, twitter. Why is it going down so fast in a brand new phone?! Not happy.

Is cellular coverage or Wi-Fi coverage marginal or flaky in your area? Either will drain battery reserves. Years ago, had good carrier coverage, but was routinely right at the carrier’s own local and roaming border all within the same carrier network—problematic carrier internal network designs—and that mess absolutely snacked on battery, as the phone woke and toggled to roam, woke again, and toggled roam off. Lots of dropped calls, too.
