Sleep Tracking Data Incorrect

I recently switched to a new sleep schedule coming from 7AM - 3PM to an 11AM - 7PM sleep schedule. I thought I did something wrong since the graph shows lesser hours than the actual sleep I have. Apparently, after testing, the apple sleep app, defaults the bar for sleep result starting 6PM to 6PM so it carries over the hours. I did testing by manually adding time stamps. 1 entry I had was a 10 hr sleep. But when the graph showed up, it cuts the time to just 7 hours and carries over time exceeding 18:00 to the next day. Is there a way to edit the time range on the result so that it will show a much accurate sleep duration?

Salutations NicoNico02,

Did you already have a chance to update your sleep schedule on both your iPhone and Apple Watch? If not, let’s do that now -

Track your sleep on Apple Watch and use Sleep on iPhone

Edit your sleep schedule on your iPhone
Update your full schedule

1. Open the Health app and tap Sleep.
2. Tap a schedule in Full Schedule & Options.
3. Tap Edit under the schedule you would like to update.
4. Tap the Days Active and drag the curved slider to set Bedtime and Wake Up times. The slider turns orange if the schedule does not meet your sleep goal.
5. Tap Alarm to turn on an alarm and adjust your alarm sound, volume, and haptics.
6. Tap Done to save your changes.

You can also turn off your sleep schedule as needed. In the Health app, tap Browse > Sleep > Full Schedule & Options. Then tap Sleep Schedule at the top of the screen to turn your schedule off or on.

Edit your sleep schedule on your Apple Watch
1. Open the Sleep app and tap Full Schedule.
2. Tap the schedule you ant to edit.
3. Tap the days under Active On, then tap the days you want to set the sleep schedule for.
4. Tap Done to save your changes.
5. Tap Wake Up or Bedtime.
6. Tap the hour or minute and turn the Digital Crown to adjust the time. Then tap the checkmark to save.
7. Tap Alarm to turn on an alarm and adjust the sound and haptics of your alarm.
8. Tap Edit Schedule in the upper left to save your changes for the full schedule.

You can also turn off your full schedule as needed. In the Sleep app, tap Full Schedule, then tap Sleep Schedule to turn your sleep schedule off or on.

Thanks.

I’m working on my own issue with sleep data as well. Isn’t the graph start/stop timeframe set by the sleep schedule? I recently changed mine from 11pm-6:30 a.m. to 8pm to 8am and the graph changed accordingly. On the phone there are two sections where the sleep schedule needs to be changed. Still not sure why two places.

I have a new post with pics regarding my issue on the Community.

Nah. The graph doesn't specifically follow the sleep schedule set. the screenshot you set has 2 sections. the first one is to change just your upcoming sleep schedule, whilst the 2nd section is to set your default daily schedule. so if the next day, you would have to make changes with your sleep sched, you can edit just the 1st section.
