Sleep schedule instructions, tracking, and set up is wrong

When using Sleep Schedule

When setting a schedule for JUST Friday. My goal is to wake up at 6:45am on Friday morning and go to bed at 11:00pm Friday night. So, it shows me that my goal of 8 hours of sleep Friday won’t be met. But how does it know that if I don’t have a wake up time set for Saturday? If it doesn’t know what time I’ll be waking up on Saturday, it doesn’t know how many hours I have scheduled to sleep. So, this leads me to believe that even though I have ONLY have the Friday schedule selected, it’s actually setting Thursday bed time, Friday wake time and is showing how many hours I will sleep Thursday night, not Friday night. But according to all apple instructions, that is not correct. So, which is it? Either way, it’s wrong. It’s basically impossible to set sleep and wake alarms AND have it track your sleep accurately. You have your wires crossed.

The Sleep Schedule feature in the Health app operates on a continuous 24‑hour cycle. If you configure it as “bedtime at 11:00 PM on Friday” and “wake‑up at 6:45 AM on Friday,” the app interprets this as a single uninterrupted schedule that repeats across the week. Sleep (You want to sleep: 151 hours 45 minutes) !!!

In effect, this setup suggests that you either wake up before going to bed or go to bed after waking up—an illogical sequence that reflects how the app processes the input. This behavior highlights that the schedule is not meant to be tested or configured in this way, since the intended use is to set realistic sleep and wake times that span across days, not overlap within the same day.
