UNABLE TO OPEN ITUNES ON NEW WINDOWS 11 PC

I cant open Itunes on my new PC because of the error msg "the file Itunes library.itl cannot be read because it was create by a newer version of itunes.... when i hit ok that msg disappears and itunes does not open......

Based on what you've told us, it sounds like you need to update iTunes. If you downloaded iTunes from the web, you'll need to manually check for updates. If you downloaded iTunes using the Microsoft Store, the latest version is automatically installed. You can learn more here: Update to the latest version of iTunes for Windows 10 - Apple Support


You may find these steps helpful:

If you downloaded iTunes from Apple's website
1. Open iTunes.
2. From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Help > Check for Updates.
3. Follow the prompts to install the latest version.
If Check for Updates isn't an option in the Help menu, then you downloaded iTunes from the Microsoft Store.
